“New sports method for prisons as a tool to support competency development, positive values, thus the reintegration of prisoners into society

Although there is a valid, scientifically confirmed demand for sports and educational tools in prisons to support rehabilitation, in practice, there is a significant shortage of adequate sports-based educational methods  that foster the development of individuals’ competencies and skills.

Aims to develop, implement and evaluate a new innovative sports-based method to assess and enhance the competencies of people in custody, while also training prison staff and trainees to apply the method effectively, supporting rehabilitation efforts

The consortium includes a sports federation, a sports club, a scientific research organisation, two adult education institutions, and a consulting firm specialised in justice and correctional facilities for juvenile and adult prisoners as associated partners
